Woman carjacked in her Highland Way driveway

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A woman living in the 1500 block of Highland Way was injured Wednesday morning during a carjacking in her driveway.

The woman had just stepped into her car at 11:07 a.m. when an armed man approached and demanded her 2010 black Suburban.

She got out of the vehicle and was knocked backwards by the vehicle’s door as the carjacker drove away in her SUV, Bowling Green Police Department spokesman Officer Ronnie Ward said.

She sustained minor injuries. Police are looking for the thief.

Police later found the car in the 200 block of Grandview where a witness said it had been left running for a few hours.
