Woman arrested on DUI charge at liquor store in Leitchfield
LEITCHFIELD, Ky. – A woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly driving drunk near a liquor store in Grayson County.
According to a uniform citation, the Leitchfield Police Department responded Saturday to 211 N. Main St. for a female subject driving through the drive-thru of a liquor store that appeared to be drunk with children in the car.
Police say upon arrival, they located a grey Ford Fusion with a male and children inside.
Authorities say they spoke to a female that had just left the store with a sealed bottle of alcohol. She was identified as Raven Turner, 27 of Clarkson.
Police say Turner had trouble understanding officers, was unstable while standing and had slurred speech.
After field sobriety tests, Turner was taken into custody.
Police say it was reported that this was not the first time Turner was reported for a DUI at this store.
Turner was arrested and faces charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, second offense, second-degree wanton endangerment, endangering the welfare of a minor and failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, first offense.
Authorities say court records show Turner was previously convicted of DUI in 2023 in Grayson County.
