Woman arrested in Morgantown McDonald’s parking lot

MORGANTOWN, Ky. – One woman is facing multiple drug charges in Morgantown.
On Thursday, the Morgantown Police Department responded around 7:24 p.m. the McDonald’s on South Main Street in Morgantown for a report of a female subject in the parking lot that was unresponsive but breathing.
Police say upon arriving, they observed a female subject in the driver’s seat with the keys in the ignition.
Authorities say the subject, identified as 44-year-old Miranda Hurt of Cave City, refused EMS treatment or transport.
Police say they saw a pill bottle in the driver’s seat in plain view. During a vehicle search, authorities say they found several pill bottles prescribed to the subject, along with a small bag of a white crystal substance, scales, small bags, an unused glass pipe and over $1,200 in cash.
Authorities say Hurt stated she stopped at McDonald’s and took a nap.
Hurt is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first 0ffense (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, public intoxication – controlled substance (excludes alcohol) and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine).
