Woman arrested following Friday shooting on Vine Street in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Bowling Green police have arrested a woman who they say is connected to a shooting that occurred last Friday.

Sherita Jones is charged with first-degree assault, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and falsely reporting an incident.

Jones is lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail, where she’s being held without bond.

Police said the 27-year-old woman shot Chelton Lindsey last Friday in the 1200 block of Vine Street.

Police said Jones shot Lindsey from her vehicle during an argument over a necklace.

During the investigation, police said Jones’ vehicle was located and impounded. Jones is accused of reporting her car stolen and then admitted she knew police impounded the car.
