Woman accused of fleeing from police and resisting arrest in Cave City
CAVE CITY, Ky.- Police in Cave City have arrested a woman after officers say she resisted arrest and attempted to flee.
According to a news release, on Monday, officers responded to a McDonald’s parking lot for a complaint of two unconscious individuals in a vehicle.
Police said the male driver of the vehicle eventually drove away and as he exited the parking lot, officers initiated a traffic stop.
Police said the female passenger, later identified Jessica Craine, 40, got out of the vehicle and started running toward a Cracker Barrel restaurant.
Police later apprehended her in a field adjacent to the restaurant. Officers said when they attempted to place handcuffs on her, Craine was able to slip one handcuff off and attempted to flee again.
Officers eventually learned Craine had three Barren County bench warrants for probation violations.
She was arrested and charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police-on foot and resisting arrest.
Craine was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
