Woman accused of driving intoxicated with toddler in the car

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green woman is accused of endangering her toddler after someone reported to police seeing her drinking while driving as her toddler rode in the backseat.

Tamara Gail Turner, 38, was in the parking lot of the T-Mart on Adams Street Tuesday afternoon, when someone called police to respond. When police arrived, Turner was in the driver’s seat and had her 21-month old son with her, according to her arrest citation.

Police said she smelled of alcohol and she showed signs of impairment on a field sobriety test, according to her citation.

She was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and possession of a open alcoholic beverage container.

She was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
