News 40 Weather | The Heat Goes High, The Rain Goes Low
SUMMER ARRIVES EARLY
A cold front has passed through the region this morning, but it didn’t bring us any rain. Scattered clouds will clear as we head through the afternoon with highs around 80. Skies will be clear tonight with a cooler low of 45. Thursday will be cooler thanks to a northwest breeze with highs in the low 70’s. Heat will be on the rise as we head into the weekend and for much of next week. While there will be a few rain chances, amounts will be light. Temperatures will climb into the 80’s Friday and Saturday but reach into the low 90’s and near-record territory Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. We could see promise of beneficial rain as we head into the middle of next week.
