WKU volleyball sweeps weekend games

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU volleyball just came off of an impressive weekend, playing in a doubleheader against Arkansas State and Eastern Illinois on Friday, Austin Peay on Saturday, and sweeping all three teams 3-0 to move to 7-6 on the season.

The weekend sweep was a much-appreciated confidence booster for the team after coming off a tough start to the season that saw matchups with a handful of top 25 teams on its schedule.

The Lady Tops now look ahead to beginning conference play on Friday and here is how head coach Travis Hudson is feeling after a successful weekend.

“Obviously, a very difficult non-conference month for us that we came out of and played better this weekend,” Hudson said. “We continue to get better week to week and I’m happy with a 3-0 weekend here in Diddle. Now, it’s time to start this conference journey all over again and we’re excited to get started in conference and kind of reset, start 0-0 and see what this journey looks like.”
