WKU volleyball gains confidence from recent wins

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Some volleyball action went down last weekend that saw the Lady Tops pick up three sweeps over Arkansas State, Eastern Ilinois and Austin Peay.

The wins were the first for WKU at home and the first after a tough schedule stretch saw the Hilltoppers go 0-4 against some of the top teams in the nation, including Tennessee and Dayton.

The winning weekend not only serves as a boost heading into conference play this Friday, but head coach Travis Hudson says it also plays a part in confidence.

“But it was good for them to get a reward for all the hard work they’ve put in because I’ve been unwavering in what I think our team is,” Hudson said. “I think we’re really good and to go out and not lose a set this weekend hopefully reminds them a little bit that they’re pretty good.”
