WKU students will impact traffic
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – With summer coming to an end, traffic is picking back up.
Western Kentucky University students are returning to Bowling Green to start school this Monday, making the roads busier than usual.
Officials recommend to be more aware while you’re traveling near campus, because more vehicles will be on the road, along with many pedestrians too.
Watch out for students on bikes, scooters and skateboards around the area. If you’re on foot, be sure to use crosswalks.
Wes Watt, PIO of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, says “You add Western Kentucky University coming back, that’s a lot of extra traffic on the road. Particularly if you’re traveling to work or to pick up a child anywhere near campus, delays certainly could be possible.”
Because of possible traffic delays, you may need to leave a few minutes earlier for work or school to make sure you’re on time.
