WKU student charged with child sex crime

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A 20-year old student at Western Kentucky University was arrested on campus Monday by Western Kentucky University police for allegedly making sexual contact with a minor.

WKU police arrested Niles Woods just after noon Monday outside Southwest Hall according to police.

Woods is charged with first-degree sexual abuse involving a minor and tampering with physical evidence.

WKU PD spokesman Officer Tim Grey said the minor was living across state lines when the abuse is alleged to have occurred. Woods was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.

Woods has since been released on a $5,000 bond.
