WKU student athletes visit the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Student athletes are visiting the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society today.

WKU athletes were at the humane society Friday morning to play around with the dogs and cats. This also helped them to find forever homes.

A Hilltopper baseball player says it’s fun to come out and play with some furry friends for a while.

“It’s huge… last year, the baseball team did really good at putting in hours, going and doing other community service. But it’s just a whole lot of fun to just give back to the community and just have baseball being the top sport for community service hours,” catcher Camden Ross says.

Each athlete got to pick a dog and take them outside for a little while to enjoy the outdoors.

“It would be great, because maybe people seeing athletes come and play and help them want to come over and see what they could offer as well,” golfer Catie Craig says.

The humane society is still seeing large intakes, so if you’d like to adopt a furry friend, make a trip to the Bowling Green Warren County Humane Society.
