WKU student athletes partner with Outback for NIL deal
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – This evening, Western Kentucky University student athletes from multiple sports signed NIL contracts at an event hosted by Outback Steakhouse.
The event is designed to grant Hilltopper athletes the opportunity to take advantage of their name- image-and likeness, while also allowing Outback Steakhouse to be able to give back to the community in a mutually beneficial manner.
Tonight’s signing marked the largest amount of WKU student athletes that have been able to collaborate with a singular brand or partner since the legalization of NIL.
“We get a lot of support from the fans in the community and everyone here and even the managers and stuff here,” WKU football player Dallas Walker said. “You know, they like watching our athletics and like watching football, basketball, all that stuff. So, the support, the support really means a lot for all of us, and we just appreciate it.”
