WKU sorority to hold meeting with local NAACP chapter after controversial videos emerge
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Bowling Green chapter of the NAACP announced Thursday that it will be holding a race relations workshop with members of Alpha Xi Delta, a predominantly caucasian sorority on the Western Kentucky University campus.
The meeting comes after two controversial videos emerged showing white sorority members from Alpha Xi Delta and Chi Omega singing out loud a song’s racial slurs.
According to the NAACP, the workshop was made at the request of the sorority and every member will attend.
The NAACP says they have yet to hear directly from Chi Omega or Western Kentucky University regarding the matter.
