WKU set to face Charlotte in New Year’s Day matchup, opening C-USA play

The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers kick off Conference USA play on New Year’s day, as they travel to Charlotte to face the 49ers.

The Hilltoppers head into the matchup with a five game winning streak, and off to their best start since the 2012-2013 season.

Friday’s game is the first of two on the road trip, as this season, Conference USA opponents will play in consecutive days to reduce the amount of travel and exposure to COVID-19.

That means that the Hilltoppers will turn right around and play the 49ers again on Saturday.

Now, Friday’s game will be be aired on Stadium (watchstadium.com), Fox Sports South, and on PBS at 3pm Central time.

Saturday’ game will air on Stadium at 3pm Central time as well, but here locally, fans will be able to see the game on PBS on a one hour delay, beginning at 4.
