WKU selects 15 for 2025-26 Cherry Presidential Scholarship

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU has selected 15 students as recipients of the 2025-2026 Cherry Presidential Scholarship, the school’s most prestigious academic award. The scholarship is valued at $16,000 annually and worth $64,000 over a four-year period.

The 2025-2026 Cherry Presidential Scholarship recipients are:

• Eva Alcaraz-Monje of Lexington, a senior at Lafayette Senior High School who plans to major in English in the Potter College of Arts & Letters.
• Maria Chisholm of Harrodsburg, a homeschool senior who plans to major in Nursing in the College of Health & Human Services.
• Angel Coronado of Bowling Green, a senior at South Warren High School who plans to major in Chemistry in the Ogden College of Science & Engineering.
• Maggie Gnann of Danville, a senior at Boyle County High School who plans to major in Environmental, Sustainability and Geographic Studies in the Ogden College of Science & Engineering.
• Jacy Hargiss of Waverly, a senior at Henderson County Senior High School who plans to major in Biology in the Ogden College of Science & Engineering.
• Caitlyn Ingram of Union, a senior at Villa Madonna Academy who plans to major in Communication in the Potter College of Arts & Letters.
• Landon Johnston of Warsaw, a senior at Gallatin County High School who plans to pursue Exploratory Studies.
• Mallory Jones of Winchester, a senior at George Rogers Clark High School who plans to major in Legal Studies in the Potter College of Arts & Letters.
• Mahelet Morgan of Spring Hill, Tennessee, a senior at Summit High School who plans to major in Finance in the Gordon Ford College of Business.
• Isabella Mulkey of Pikeville, a senior at Pikeville High School who plans to major in Psychology in the College of Education & Behavioral Sciences.
• Benjamin Raymer of Sweeden, a senior at Edmonson County High School who plans to major in Mechanical Engineering in the Ogden College of Science & Engineering.
• Kaine Samuels of Louisville, a senior at Ballard High School who plans to major in Biochemistry in the Ogden College of Science & Engineering.
• Faith Schultz of Jeffersonville, Indiana, a senior at Christian Academy of Indiana who plans to major in Exercise Science in the College of Health & Human Services.Jackson Smith of Bowling Green, a senior at Bowling Green High School who plans to major in Finance in the Gordon Ford College of Business.
