WKU Public Broadcasting awarded grant for autism inclusion program

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is awarding Western Kentucky University Public Broadcasting with a grant for over $246,000. It will be used to develop and expand its workforce development training program for individuals with autism.

The grant is called, Embracing Differences, Finding Strengths: A Public Broadcasting Model for Autism Inclusion.

The goal of the grant is for WKU Public Broadcasting to serve as a model organization for hiring and employing individuals with autism.

This is the second grant in the last two years that WKU Public Broadcasting has received from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to go toward this initiative.

The new grant will help extend the project over a two-year period.
