WKU Professor to perform in Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – While Western Kentucky University students are busy studying for, and taking, their final exams.

One WKU professor from the Department of Music is spending the Christmas season in The Big Apple, and he’s not taking an early vacation.

WKU music professor John Cipolla is performing in New York city for the 2018 Radio City Musical Hall Christmas Spectacular.

Doctor Cipolla has been a long-standing tenured member of this orchestra.

Prior to his appointment at WKU in 2002 he worked as a full time professional woodwind player in New York City performing and recording with a variety of classical, contemporary and commercial artists and several ensembles in New York City.

Doctor Cipolla is beloved by his musical students, and when he’s not performing in this Christmas Spectacular he teaches clarinet and saxophone in WKU’s Department of Music.
