WKU Police investigating death at Lost River Cave

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Western Kentucky’s University Police are investigating Monday evening death at Lost River Cave.

According to WKU Police Officer Tim Gray, the body of Danny L. Vaughn Jr., 30, of Bowling Green has been identified.

Officials on scene say the man jumped over a fence and fell into the river that flows into the cave.

Bowling Green firefighters set up a rope system to pull up the body of the dead man.

Vaughn’s body is being sent to Louisville on Tuesday for an autopsy.

This is an ongoing investigation.
