UPDATE: Diddle Arena break-in suspect identified

Update: Suspect identified as Trent Jesse, 21.

He is not a student at WKU.

Statement from Tim Gray, WKU Police Public Information Officer:

After seeing everything in social media, he called our dispatch and advised he was the one we were looking for. He came in a shortly time later and provided a statement. The charge of Criminal Mischief 2nd will be pending until the officer carrying the report follows up with Athletics on Monday. He was not arrested due to it being a misdemeanor charge that did not occur in our presence. He advised he was intoxicated and had just come from a party on Creason St. where he got involved in a fight. He stated he did not even know he went into Diddle until someone showed him the video and his photo from social media.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Police at Western Kentucky University are searching for the person who broke into Diddle Arena.

Police say the incident happened sometime early Saturday morning.

Surveillance images released by the department show smashed glass from a door and a man walking next to the door.
