BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Western Kentucky University police are investigating after they say a phone was allegedly found taped in a dorm bathroom.

According to WKU Police Department chief Mitchell Walker, officers responded March 8 around 8 p.m. to the second floor of Regents Hall. Walker says police received a complaint about a cell phone that had fallen after it had been taped to a bathroom fixture.

Walker says officers have collected the phone, along with a laptop.

The cell phone has been sent for forensic examination with the Bowling Green Police Department, according to Walker.

He says the laptop will be examined by the Kentucky State Police.

Right now, Walker says they do have a person of interest, but they have not confirmed a suspect at this time.
