WKU Player of the Week: volleyball outside hitter Faith Young

Faith Young

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Our latest Hilltopper player of the week is WKU volleyball’s Faith Young.

The sophomore outside hitter was spectacular during the regular season for the Tops, hitting the second highest percentage in Conference USA at .394, and that led to Young notching a spot on the league’s All-Conference First Team.

Her strong play didn’t stop when the postseason rolled around, as Young finished with 39 kills on a .369 hitting percentage, nine blocks with three of those being solo, and six digs, resulting in a CUSA All-Tournament Team selection.

After three games down in Miami, the Tops claimed their third straight CUSA championship and seventh straight NCAA tournament appearance, and they now await their next stop, which will be revealed this Sunday during the NCAA selection show on ESPN.
