WKU Office of Sustainability receives a large grant to help the community

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A local food pantry received a large grant that will help those in need.

The Western Kentucky Office of Sustainability received a grant for $30,000 from the Jessie Ball duPont Fund to support the community food pantry.

The pantry service has recently been expanded to serve all members of the community in need, not just WKU faculty and staff.

Officials with the Office of Sustainability say the food pantry has received more visitors  in the last seven weeks than it normally would in six months due to the pandemic.
