WKU offering excel classes in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – At Western Kentucky University’s Glasgow campus, the university is offering excel certification classes.

The program is a part of WKU’s Career and Workforce Development department.

The course focuses on providing additional learning for those who need a refresh or want to add to their resume. The course will cover a variety of topics, like formulas, problem solving and data analytics.

The program is divided into three areas: basic excel, advanced excel and intermediate excel.

WKU leadership is hopeful this course will help others in the job market. Derek Olive, continuing and professional development director, is excited give others opportunities to grow. While he doesn’t want people to “leave their jobs,” Olive is hopeful that this course will “be a new resume builder.”

He says each person who completes the course will receive a proper certificate that “honors the work they have done.”

WKU also offers certification courses in leadership, team building and many others.
