WKU Men’s Basketball holds Hank Plona Basketball Camp

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – This week, WKU men’s basketball is hosting the Hank Plona basketball camp for grades one through eight.

The youth campers get to spend time learning from both new and returning Hilltoppers at Diddle Arena, while sharpening their skills and getting to know Coach Plona’s squad this year.
A couple Hilltopper hoopers shared what impact working with the youngsters has on them.
“It means everything to bring up the younger generations,” WKU Guard Khristian Lander said, “it’s been a blast just teaching them the basics of basketball and just making them better every day.”
“At the end of the day, you just got to go with the flow. You know, you got to be stern a little bit, but they’re kids, so it’s not too much I can really do, but they’re funny. It’s a lot of stories that I could tell, but that’s for another day,” WKU Guard Jalen Jackson said.
