For many small business owners and those who are thinking about starting a small businesses, it can be challenging to know where to start and where to find the resources to help grow your business. One small business owner said she benefitted greatly from this experience.

“A lot of small businesses are worried about networking, and they don’t know who they want to talk to. And it’s a little scary. But to be able to have a voice to welcome them in and talk to people and find out what’s even in our area, that was huge to me. There’s a lot of things in Bowling Green. We have no idea that they even exist. And so I’ve been able to meet a lot of different people from the area” said Renee Back, a small business owner from Tompkinsville.

This was the fourth Small Business Expo, and many speakers were very optimistic about the future of small businesses in the south-central Kentucky region. One topic that was discussed was finding new ways to create opportunity for new Americans to get involved in starting their own small businesses.
