WKU hosts annual Fall Festival to kickoff season
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Western Kentucky University kicked off its second annual Fall Festival on the Hill Wednesday.
The event was held in collaboration with numerous on-campus organizations like the college of Health and Human Services and the Gordon Ford College of Business, along with several organizations, including Texas Roadhouse and the Bowling Green Police Department.
Students and community members gathered on the South Lawn to enjoy many fall activities like making smores, painting, pumpkin smashing, drinking some apple cider and even listening to some ghost stories on the Bowling Green Trolley.
Fall on the Hill serves as a great way for students to not only learn more about the different groups on campus but to decompress and have some fun as midterms approach.
“They just had a lot of midterms and mid semester tests,” said Kirsten Hooks, assistant director for First Year Programs for WKU Housing and Residence Life. “And so this is a great opportunity for them to let off some steam, get connected with others but also campus resources.”
What better way to get more in touch with campus and unwind during midterms than with some apple cider and smashing some pumpkins?
