WKU Hilltoppers’ Bassey Cleared for Non-Contact Activities

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Western Kentucky Hilltoppers star Center Charles Bassey has been cleared to participate in non-contact activities, according to a Thursday morning report from CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.

Bassey suffered a season-ending knee injury in the Hilltoppers’ 86-79 OT win against Arkansas, just ten games into the 2019-20 season.

Thursday morning’s news is a positive sign in terms of Bassey’s recovery and sets the table for the former five-star recruit to return for WKU’s season-opener at Louisville on November 10th.
