WKU freshmen move in ahead of fall semester

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- School is back in session.

Western Kentucky University students have begun to move back in this week for the 2025-26 school year.

For many of the upperclassmen, this is not their first rodeo. But for the freshman, moving in can be intimidating.

Though the move-in process can be a bit scary at first, once you get settled in and turn your dorm into what you envisioned, you will be on track to having a fun, eventful year.

“Me and my roommate came in not knowing how it was going to be, and we didn’t really have a plan,” freshman Angel Coronado stated. “But we just built on it, and it turned out really amazing. And I think we have one of the best dorms on campus.”

Some freshmen have been on campus since Monday for M.A.S.T.E.R Plan, WKU’s early welcome week for incoming students. One of the big highlights from the week that helped make moving in a lot easier was the amount of people you meet throughout.

Freshman Wyatt Brown said that during c, there are plenty of opportunities to meet new people.

“M.A.S.T.E.R Plan in general, there’s just people everywhere, and you’re all the same age. You get to meet so many new people.” Brown said.

Western Kentucky University students will continue to move in during the weekend, and classes will officially begin Monday, Aug. 18.
