WKU Football Shines on Phil Steele’s Preseason All-CUSA Team
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Football is already turning heads ahead of the 2025 season, with 11 Hilltoppers named to Phil Steele’s 2025 Preseason All-Conference USA Team, the publication recently announced. This significant recognition highlights the talent and depth returning to The Hill.
Five Hilltoppers Earn First Team Honors: The strong showing is led by five players earning Preseason First Team All-CUSA nods:
- Offense: Quarterback Maverick McIvor, Receiver KD Hutchinson, and Tackle Marshall Jackson.
- Special Teams: Punter Cole Maynard and Long Snapper Rex Robich.
Additional Recognition Across All-CUSA Teams: Several other Hilltoppers received preseason honors:
- Second Team: Kicker John Cannon.
- Third Team: Receiver Matthew Henry, Defensive End Harper Holloman, and Cornerback Kent Robinson.
- Fourth Team: Tight End Noah Meyers and Defensive Lineman Mackavelli Malotumau.
Season Kick-Off on the Horizon: The Hilltoppers are set to open their 2025 campaign with a Week 0 Conference USA game against Sam Houston.
