WKU Football prepares for midweek meeting with UTEP

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – After a bye week saw the WKU football team sit out this past weekend’s wild slate of games, they return to action at the Houch this Thursday to face the UTEP Miners.

Head coach Tyson Helton and his team have been hard at work, looking to fix some key mistakes after their loss at Boston College, and in just a few days, they return to play in some pretty sweet all-red uniforms that pay homage to the infamous Big Red.

Helton believes that this month, which features three mid-week contests, will be positive for the program in more ways than one.

“I really like the weekday games,” Helton said. “I think it markets our program. It puts our brand out there. We’re on every TV in America, all those kinds of things, so we want to be out our best. We want to showcase our brand at the highest level, and we’ll get that opportunity this Thursday to do that.”
