WKU film scholarship opportunity for SKY Arts Film Fest winner
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The WKU Film Department is incentivizing high school students to flex their creative muscles for this year’s SKY Arts Film Fest.
Bowling Green video production company Forerunner is hosting this 2nd Annual Film Fest at the Capitol Arts Center to help amateur and professional filmmakers of all ages network and showcase their crafts.
Starting this year, Judges from the WKU Film Department will choose one high school filmmaker to award a WKU scholarship.
High school students from across the world can create and submit their own films into five different SKY Arts Film Fest categories: High School Short Film, Documentary Film, Animated Film, Experimental Film, and Music Video.
Festival Director Andrew Swanson says, “This opportunity is really unique for our area. Like, really unique unless you go to a big city like Nashville or Louisville. And most of the time it’s really expensive getting that opportunity. I highly encourage it because it’s a rare thing.”
Filmmakers, submit your films online here by July 14th.
