WKU Commencement celebrates class of 2024 and their accomplishments

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – It’s the moment every college student waits four years for. However, before they get their diploma, they get to celebrate their accomplishment with their classmates.

WKU held their annual Commencement ceremony Thursday night, honoring the class of 2024 and their achievements.

This year’s class is able to experience an actual ceremony after their high school graduation was affected by COVID.

We spoke to one graduating student who compared his two graduations and says this one feels a lot better.

“Last time I graduated, it was just people driving around in cars waving at each other… a lot better experience when you’ve got actually a couple of hundred people surrounding you all doing the same thing,” Noah Dentinger says.

Diplomas will be handed out in individual college ceremonies throughout the day Friday.

We send our congratulations to all of this year’s graduates, including News 40’s own Justin Smith and reporter Karenna Chaudoin!
