WKU Athletics award for Rich Pond librarian

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Kimberly Posey, librarian at Rich Pond Elementary, got a surprise from members of the WKU Cheer team and Big Red at work Tuesday.

WKU Athletics recognized her contributions over the last 25 years as a librarian and gave her a grant that she will be able to use to purchase new books and technology for the students to use. Posey did not know she had won until administrators and the cheer team walked into the library flanked by local media to present her with the award.

“After 25 years of teaching? Very humbled that I was recognized and glad that we are able to provide more for the students here,” Posey said.
