Wisconsin man dies in crash, woman injured

MUNFORDVILLE, Ky. – Kentucky State Police are investigating a single-vehicle traffic fatality that claimed the life of a Wisconsin man early Sunday morning.

Anthony Todd Davenport, 56, of Milwaukee, was driving 2018 Chevrolet Impala when, for an unknown reason, the car left the right shoulder of the roadway, causing Davenport to lose control of the vehicle, according to release from KSP. Davenport’s vehicle re-entered the roadway crossed all northbound lanes of travel and struck concrete barrier wall before the vehicle came to a complete rest. The vehicle overturned at least once.

The wreck occurred at about 12:22 a.m. Sunday near the 67-mile marker northbound on Interstate 65.

The Hart County Coroner’s Office.l pronounced Davenport dead at the scene. A passenger, Deshevia Phillips, 50, also of Milwaukee was taken by ambulance to Hardin Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, according to the release.
