Where to donate while spring cleaning
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – As the seasons change, lots of people are looking to do some spring cleaning.
Miss Annie’s Place is one of several consignment shops in Bowling Green. Given the name, the idea was started by former housing inspector, Annie Link.
Link is described as a kind person with a generous heart. Her car served as a storage place, filled with clothing, books, toiletries, and other necessities, for those in need. Now, it has grown to a store front.
Executive Director, Katie Miller, says caring on Miss Annie’s legacy and character is a lesson for everyone. She says it’s “a part of human nature” to want to give.
Miller adds that at some point in our lives, “somebody gave us an opportunity.” She wants to be able to pass that on.
Miss Annie’s Place does accept donations year-round. Items are free for anyone in need within our area.
