What to expect for fall break travel, gas prices
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-Many people are gearing up for fall break and heading on vacation. While preparing for your trip, you might have noticed a drop in gas prices.
We learned from AAA the cause of the decrease in price. One reason is because we are wrapping up summer vacation. Students are heading back to school and adults are headed back to work.
Another factor that plays a big part is companies selling winter blend gasoline causing prices to drop.
According to the director of public affairs at AAA, Jim Garrity, “Anyone who is thinking about taking a trip to the beach last-minute trip this upcoming weekend, you’re going to find that gas prices where ever your going are likely to be cheaper. You’re going to want to map that out where your leaving from to where you’re headed and you can actually see about how much you want to budget. ”
AAA suggests many tips for those traveling this fall break, but the main tip is that people slow down. By slowing down, you’re able to save your life and to save money.
