Western Kentucky University student veterans holds inaugural Fall Festival

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Western Kentucky University Student Veterans Alliance held its inaugural fall festival Friday.
Members of the SVA, veterans, and other community members, along with some local organizations, gathered for a night of games, food, silent auctions, live music, face painting, and much more.
The entire event was student-led, and SVA hopes not only to invite more local veterans but also members of the Bowling Green community to join the organization and build that sense of camaraderie in the area.
When asked about the event, the Student Veterans Alliance President stated that the group wants to build an “Outreach program for the veterans in the area and those currently serving.”
The SVA aims to make the Fall Festival an annual event as they grow their reach in the community and currently have more events in the works for the rest of the year.
