Western Kentucky University receives “F” grade for black student graduate rate

A new study by the University of Southern California’s Race and Equity Center reveals that Western Kentucky University could use some work when it comes to the graduation rate among black students.

According to the study, which looked at more than 500 public, 4-year colleges and universities across the country, the university received an "F" grade for completion equity.

The study suggests that only 32.3% of black students at Western Kentucky University go on to graduate. The overall graduation rate is just over 50%.

WKU did, however, receive a "B" grade for gender equity and representational equity.
