Western Kentucky University fraternity bikes across the U.S. to raise money for Alzheimer’s disease
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Western Kentucky University fraternity is biking across the United States again this summer to raise money for a good cause after taking a year off for COVID.
Phi Gamma Delta, also called Fiji holds this 3,700-mile bike ride every year in honor of a former frat brother’s grandfather in order to raise money for Alzheimer’s disease.
The men in Bike 4 Alz began the trek on May 22 and made their way into Bowling Green Friday afternoon.
They are not done yet; they will take off again toward Virginia Beach after a quick rest and some time with family.
If you would like to support the cause, Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. the men will be hosting a fundraiser event at SOKY Marketplace in Bowling Green.
