Wednesday update: Coronavirus numbers in south central Kentucky
Governor Andy Beshear announces the largest single day total of positive cases on Wednesday, with 1,346. This brings the total number of cases in the commonwealth since the start of the pandemic to 83,013.
Seven new deaths were also reported today bringing the statewide total to 1,276.
16,756 people have recovered from the virus in Kentucky.
According to the Barren River District Health Department, there have been 8,103 total cases in the surrounding counties combined since the start of the pandemic, 6,840 have recovered.
No new deaths were reported in the surrounding counties.
Allen County did not release any new details on Wednesday.
