Wednesday update: Coronavirus numbers in south central Kentucky

For the second day in a row, over 1,000 new cases of COVID-19 were announced at Governor Beshear’s press conference Wednesday.

There are 1,004 new cases, bringing the statewide total to 68,840.

Four new deaths were also reported Wednesday bringing the statewide total to 1,174.

According to the Barren River District Health Department, there have been 7,329 total cases in the surrounding counties combined since the start of the pandemic, 6,169 have recovered.

There are no new deaths reported in any of these counties.

– ALLEN COUNTY: 371 (+19)

– EDMONSON COUNTY: 156

– METCALFE COUNTY:128 (+1)
