WNKY News 40 Weather Forecast

COLD COLD COLD NIGHT AHEAD
It has been a wonderful Sunday…well to stay inside and relax that is! We have seen the coldest temperatures so far this season — in fact, we would have seen record cold highs for today if it wasn’t for temperatures hanging out around the mid 20s around midnight, still a few degrees warmer than the coldest high temperatures. Conditions were downright frigid this morning dipping down to the lower teens. Unfortunately, the cold only gets colder as we look towards a freezing transition from Sunday to Monday. Air temperature lows will be around 10 degrees with portions of the area into the single digits. Wind chill/Feels like could dip as low as 5 below. Due to these conditions, a Cold Weather Advisory has been issued until 9AM Monday.

NOT TO WORRY, IT DOESN’T STAY COLD
Conditions thankfully don’t require a heavy coat for the rest of the week — though you may need a jacket on a few days, not just due to crisp air, but for rain showers too! Temperatures will hover around the 40s to 50s this week as rain chances increase as we head into the late workweek.
