Water and sewage rates to rise for some local residents
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – If you’re a Warren Water customer, you’ll soon be seeing an increase in your bill.
On July 1, the bill for an average residential water customer will increase 60 cents per month to $23.98. The monthly average bill for a wastewater customer will increase 12 cents a month to just over $22.
The additional revenue for warren water will help pay for a new sewage treatment plant which is already under construction. Warren water’s general manager, John Dix, says he realizes everyone’s budget is strained right now.
According to Dix, even with these increases, Warren Water continues to have the lowest rates in the county, as well as some of the lowest in the state and region.
