WATCH: Fireball meteor sighting reported in multiple states, including Kentucky
KENTUCKY – The American Meteor Society says it received reports from several states about a “fireball” seen in the sky overnight.
According to the AMC’s website, they received over 200 reports about the event early Friday morning around 1:43 a.m.
These included reports from Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina Virginia and West Virginia. The above video features a sighting in Woodburn, Tennessee, according to the AMC.
The website lists two local sightings, including one in Bowling Green, one in Alvaton.
