Warren RECC shares advice on saving money during the cold months
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – While the weather may be beautiful now, soon, the cold weather will creep in, and you may notice it on your energy bill.
Every year, people remain unaware that they can save money by taking a short walk around the house. Warren RECC is looking out for its customers and is offering some tips you can do right now to get ready for the cold season and save some money on your bill.
“Right now is a good time since the weather’s nice to go and change your air filters to do. Maybe some caulking around your windows and doors to make sure that the air, when it gets cold, stays out in the warm air stays in. There’s also just some little things you can do, like if you have phone chargers or TVs or gaming consoles, when you’re not using them, unplug them,” said Warren RECC’s senior director of communications Kim Phelps.
Your thermostat also plays an important role in saving money. Set it to a temperature that is low and comfortable. Never place electronics near the thermostat, and keep your electronics unplugged when they are not in use.
