Warren RECC, BGMU responding to large power outages

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Warren RECC is working a large power outage in the area due to the severe weather.

Warren RECC said they are now working multiple outages within their territory, including Simpson County and Bowling Green.

In total, Warren RECC says as of 4 p.m., the number of outages across their territory climbed to affecting 38,000 members. The company says they have seen broken poles and downed lines.

BGMU is also working outages and says they are working as quickly and safely as they can as dispatch is flooded with calls.

Remember, if you see downed power lines, please stay clear of them.

Crews will continue work until all power is restored, but Warren RECC warns it could take multiple days.
