Warren RECC experiences power outage due to lightning arrestor failure

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – If you use Warren RECC as your power supplier and live on the east side of Bowling Green, you may have noticed a power outage Tuesday night.

RECC says this was due to a lightning arrestor failure. Over 10,000 homes were without power last night due to this issue.

Officials say crews were able to respond to the incident quickly and restore power within about an hour.
