Warren RECC annual meeting will follow new format

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Warren RECC will be holding its annual meeting Thursday night. The meeting which is normally held at South Warren High School will have a new format this year.

Instead of being held at the high school, it will be drive-thru and online. This meeting will also include a director election. The candidates include a nominated candidate and a independent candidate. The candidates for District 1 which is Warren County are Terry Garmon and Tim Westbrook and the candidates for District 5 which is Simpson and Logan counties are Randy Mann and Wade Woodward.

The voting will take place at any of the four WRECC offices. Senior director of communications Kim Phelps says she’s looking forward to getting new faces on the team.

“We love our board. Our board members are representatives of their communities. Members are free to talk to them at any point and a lot of members do reach out to their board members. Being able to have the perspective of the people that they know in the community, it’s always exciting to hear what they bring to the table,” Phelps said.
