Warren East High School office getting safety upgrades
BOWLING GREEN Ky.-The front office at a local high school is getting a face-lift to keep students safer.
It’s taking place at Warren East High School.
School officials say they are moving the main desk in the administration office so the person working there can have a better overall view of his or her surroundings. New glass windows are also being installed near the desk.
Once school starts back up, each Warren County School, including Warren East, will be equipped with the Raptor Technology system, which uses technology to ensure visitors are not registered sex offenders.
“Our students and our staff are our most valuable assets. Anything we can do to aid in helping them have a safe environment, a great learning environment, it’s always a wise investment,” said Warren County Schools chief financial officer Chris McIntyre.
The office upgrades will be finished when students return Jan. 6.
